I have again been reminded just how lucky I am by being nominated for a couple of awards. Unfortunately, I have been way behind in my postings because of the laptop breakdown incident. For a couple of weeks it was touch and go without the use of said item and I think it’s fair to say for a short time I became the Bitch Troll From Hell. Fortunately, I have now been reunited with my Tosh so life in my small household has returned to normal; well as normal as its ever going to be in Tinky Town World.
So firstly my heartfelt thanks go out to:
Dianne at Knitting Galore for the Fabulous Blog Ribbon.
Grace at Czech The Flip for A Very Inspiring Blogger Award.
Elle at Trip Wheels for the Versatile Blogger
Both Grace and Dianne have clearly caught me on good days and Elle has obviously heard about my party trick with the ping-pong balls.
Now I have on a couple of occasions given you seven random facts about me, but I am pushed to think of anything new, as frankly I’m just not that interesting. However, I much prefer the Fabulous Blog Ribbon Award rules, so here they are:
Name Five Fabulous Moments In Your Life:
Passing my driving test on the fourth attempt.
Moving to Turkey
Spending Bayram with a Muslim family in a remote village in the mountains
Meeting my best friend
Buying my first house
Five Things You Love:
Animals
Children’s Laughter
Gardens
Being an Auntie
Music
Five Things You Hate:
Cruelty
Celery
Injustice
Gin
Reality TV
And in true awards style, here are ten blogs that inspire me, (please forgive me I know it should be 19 but that seemed a little excessive):
And finally my FFB Award (Fabulous Fellow Bloggers Award) goes to all of you for reading, laughing and crying with me. For permitting me to share my story with you all and allowing me the privilege of sharing yours. You are without doubt amazing, insightful, passionate, intelligent and entertaining people in so many different ways; and your posts have brought me to tears and had me laughing out loud. Your pictures have me awed; and your recipes, advice and tips have helped me share in your dreams, travels, gardens and families. You have forgiven this newbie countless silly mistakes; hard to think I am still only fourteen weeks old in the world of blogs. I have accidentally deleted comments, I still can’t work out the dashboard and I used to think links were something on a bracelet. A less than sunshine day is transformed for me when I receive one of your comments. I am truly richer for “meeting” you all and wherever else life may take me, this experience has without doubt touched my life. Your endless support, patience and encouragement is valued more than you know.
“I can no other answer make, but, thanks, and thanks.”

you deserve all of your awards. your blog is one of my favorites. I like to read it at night while odie curls up to sleep at my feet. i summarize your funny and touching stories when we wake in the morning. He laughs and purrs every time. we are both looking forward to many more entries from you..
(ps. we had the same tech issues here. a less than agreeable laptop complete with collapsing screen/ struggling with the finicky wordpress dashboard we have yet to fully master/ and a tough time learning how to link things on this site—thankfully we figured out the last link part so if you need help with that just drop us a line on our “about us” page..)

As I am posting only garden successes and failures, not my thoughts and hopes and dreams and such, I get comments like “That’s blossom end rot” on my Brandywine tomatoes. But, for that gem, I am SO grateful. It makes my day to hear from bloggers. Thank you for the nomination and if I can focus long enough, I’ll figure out what I am to do next.

What a lovely surprise! Thank you so much for thinking of me and I very much appreciate this award.
By way of reciprocation, I would like to bestow a similar honour upon you, too. There are no rules for accepting this award. None. However, if you wish to place the button in your sidebar then everyone will know that “Your Blog is Bloody Brilliant!”

Hi. I have also nominated you for an award. This time it’s the Beautiful Blogger Award.
Rules of the Beautiful Blogger Award rules seeem to be a bit variable but Iβve gone with these:
Copy the Beautiful Blogger Award logo and place it in your post.
Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
Tell 7 things about yourself.
Nominate 7 other bloggers for their own Beautiful Blogger Award, and comment on their blogs to let them know..
The idea behind the Beautiful Blogger Award is to recognize some of the bloggers we read for their hard work and inspiration.

Thank you very much as I’m way behind on my postings because of a laptop meltdown, I may take some time to put something together. Hope this is okay?

Yes of course. It actually took me a couple of days to put it all up. No rush and in fact if you choose not to participate that’s totally ok too!
Hope you get your laptop sorted
